Referral Program

As we start to wind down the 2008 season, we are very happy to say that it has been a terrific year!   You, the guests, are the reason for our success. Word of mouth recommendations and repeat stays were better than ever.   Heartland Lodge is fortunate to have many ‘Raving Fans’ promoting us to their friends, family and business associates.  Because of this loyalty, Heartland Lodge has developed into what it is today.  My goal is that 2009 exceeds what we’ve done this year!

As a way to thank you for promoting Heartland, I have decided to take money out of traditional advertising and invest in you. I have developed a Referral Program for 2009.  For each new person that you introduce to Heartland, you will receive a 10% credit (of their reservation) on your next stay!  The more referrals, the more discounts you will receive off your stay. It’s even possible just to tell one right person or company and your trip could be free!  You have already been doing this so now you’re going to get rewarded for it, and save you money on your next visit. I want to make this simple and easy for you.

 * When a new guest makes a reservation, please let us know you referred them or make sure the guest tells us.

 * Good for new guests that have never stayed with us before.

* Good for new reservations booked after November 7th, 2008.

A great way to start earning your credit is by purchasing a gift certificate for someone who has never visited the lodge.  It’s a great gift idea, and you will also start earning credit(s) for your next stay.

It is important to refresh your mind & body.  I am always amazed at how productive I am when I return from a relaxing trip.  Guests repeatedly tell us that after a stay at Heartland they are recharged and motivated!

Again, thank you for your loyalty and telling others about Heartland Lodge! I look forward to seeing you at the lodge next year!

Opening Week In Pike County Illinois

The weather couldn’t have been any better for the opening week of the Illinois archery season.  Here in camp we had a great start with a lot of familiar faces in camp and a couple new ones mixed in.  Our largest buck taken that week was a 134″ 9 point taken by Cliff Chavez for Tallahassee, FL.

Illinois’s Whitetail Deer Hunting Season

Man has the days been inching by or what?  One week before the archery season opens up here in Pike Co. Illinois.  I know I have had a lot of restless nights in anticipation for this upcoming season.  I imagine I am not the only one.  I am looking forward to having a full camp of deer hunters and hearing their stories around the buck pole.  Good luck to all who venture out into the woods this fall and stay in touch, I want to hear all of your hunting stories.

Monster Whitetails

It is getting ever so close to the Illinois archery season opener and with every day I venture out to check the farms, I encounter new bucks emerging from their cover.  I can not wait to start, it’s like a kid in a candy store, well at least mine.  Just talking with the local farmers and other Illinois outfitters, we all tend to agree that there are more big bucks running around then in the previous years.  Which only makes the hours in the day crawl along.  I hope you are getting fired up as much as I am, good luck and shot straight.

November Archery Hunt $1950!

November is an ideal time to hunt monster whitetails! Late November can even be a better time for a larger than average buck to come within bow range. Granted you may not see as many bucks but the chances a monster will walk by your stand could be better the last week of November than any other time during the season. Why? There are less does in heat. This makes the dominate buck in the area travel more to find the few does that are ready to bread.

Why is this hunt only $1950 then? The only reason is because it is right after Thanksgiving and many can’t get away during that week.  For the value and chances of harvesting a trophy whitetail this is the best week of the year. You receive six nights of lodging, five full days of meals, guide and acces to some of the best whitetail property in the world for only $1950! The lodging and meals are worth that alone!

Here at Heartland we like for all of our hunters to be completely satisfied. Even though we think this week is great, its still hunting. A correct mindset is very important to make sure you walk away with a positive experience. You may not see a monster whitetail the entire week or you just might harvest the buck of your dreams that week. Either way we want to make sure that when you leave you feel like we did everything possible to make your trip a success!

There are only a few spots left so don’t wait to long to book your hunt. 800-717-HUNT(4868)

Pre Season Scouting For Whitetail

One month and a week to go until opening day of deer hunting in Illinois!  Can you feel it!  Woo!  This time of year happens every year and for me it’s like going to Cabelas with an unlimited budget.  No matter how the year has went so far, everything fades away when the thought of how close hunting season is.  I am looking forward to another exciting year here at Heartland Lodge.  With all of the rain here in the Midwest this past spring, I can’t help but notice the extreme plant growth that has taken place when I venture out to do my evening scouting trips.  We have been seeing some good bucks out and about, and you are more than welcome to plan a scouting trip of your own.  I have had several hunters that have already came out and joined us searching the fields for monster bucks.  I look forward to seeing everyone in camp and hope to have you harvest your ”Monster Buck” this fall.
